Hypocrisy Beyond Belief! (Entry #9)

You've never guessed that Gandhi, the advocate of peace in India's revolution towards independence would have looked admiringly at the communist revolution of Russia, since it had such violent events involved with it, which Gandhi detests! He would later on also look with admiration as well to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, the 2oth century's most famous brutal dictators aside from Stalin and Lenin.

He didn't admire them personally, but in regards to their economic policies, and nationalism they showed off. The idea of nationalism, which inspires those to believe that their culture is unique, and should be established as a independent state, was a great deal to Gandhi and his vision of a free India. Yet Gandhi wasn't all that heartless, as he soon realized the resistance that the Jews, and other ethnic minorities in Europe showed against Germany. A lot of pressure was put on the Indians, since they weren't sure if this would be their chance for independence from England by joining the Axis. Wisely, they chose to keep their oaths to the English crown.

Sadly at the end of the war, Katsurbai, Gandhi's former wife died at the age of 79. Gandhi in all respect to her and her husband helped them in the burial of the estranged wife. This would relieve Gandhi's mind of any pains he had in the past about her, and would push him to move India forward to a new age.
